This is a detailed video discussing the importance of addressing foot stability and how it can greatly influence our ability to move with great efficiency. An often missed part of rehabilitation, just like the thoracic spine, and yet it is very often the cause of many problems at joints a long way from it's position.
In this video I show you just how easily your entire body can be thrown into complete dysfunction and poor alignment from sloppy and weak foot stability.
We discuss everything from bunions to over pronation and high arches. We take a quick look at the exercises known as "short foot" or the foot tripod that has been developed by Dr Evan Oscar. All great strategies you can use to overcome what is becoming an increasingly common problem.
In Part 2 of this video series I give you the basic exercise solutions to begin correcting this problem but understand that this is something that will take a considerable amount of effort and work to do. But the first thing is actually knowing that there is a problem which many people are completely unaware that they have.
But make no mistake if you have a knee problem, hip problem, or any lower limb injury you can begin looking at your feet as a contributing factor. Even lower back and shoulder problems can have the feet as the original cause!
This video we do not give you any exercises to do but try to educate you on the reason you may need them and more importantly which ones you may need.
We do not all have the same feet, so we should not all use the same corrective exercises. Only a thorough assessment of what your body needs will be able to provide the right solution for you, which is what I do my best in this video to explain.
Great article to read with more detail on this topic is in the link below
