WELCOME!
Today was a crazy one! Something I've never experienced in m life and hope I never have to again! Hat Yai and Songkhla experienced a once in 300 years rainfall which left Hat Yai completely flooded with flood waters reaching 2.5 metres in depth and the same in some areas of songkhla! These floods affected over 580,000 households!!! It was hard to realise just how bad it was getting from my accommodation. I had no choice but to leave and wade through about 1 mile of flood waters before we reached dry ground! It was pretty intense! Fortunately I was able to help a lady who was staying in the same place get her belongings to safety and she repaid the favour by taking me to the dog shelter I'll be volunteering at! Wild ride!
