Malvarrosa beach is a beach in Valencia (Spain).

Its name, as well as the neighborhood next to it, dates from 1848 and is due to a gardener, Félix Robillard, who at that time was the Botanist's senior gardener. Felix bought a large tract of land that was marsh at the time with the idea of ​​recovering it. To do this, he dried it and planted several plant species, including the popular Malva Rosa geranium. The beach, which in ancient times was used to land fishing and trade between the different towns near the capital, became a resting place for the Valencian bourgeoisie. Among its illustrious vacationers were Joaquín Sorolla and Vicente Blasco Ibáñez.

At present, this wide and open beach has a very lively aspect both on the beach itself, due to the amount of services it offers and on the promenade that delimits it, whose construction began in 1990, and which houses restaurants and cafes. It has lifeguard posts and an area adapted for the bathroom of people with reduced mobility.

To the north and separated by a bridge that joins them, is the Patacona beach. With fine sand and a wide promenade, it also houses restaurants, beach bars and cafes. To the south is the Cabañal beach.

Due to its proximity and open space, many activities are usually carried out.

Every year it hosts an air festival, which is held in front of the promenade, and in which planes from all over Spain, internationals and the air force participate. Crowds of fans and spectators gather to watch the aerobatics of the acrobatic champions of Spain, the Eagle Patrol, the fighters of the Spanish Air Force, which are joined by paratroopers, airplanes from the València aeroclub and Air's CRJ-200 Nostrum, as well as classic and historical aircraft belonging to the Valencian Community Air Foundation.

Every year during the fallas a Neapolitan mascletá is made there.
