We often hear that Bali is “cheap.”
In this video, I break down what our real family lifestyle costs in Bali, where money stretches, and what we’ve gained that has nothing to do with money.
Our real monthly expenses living in Bali as a family:
International school fees: $10,800 per child/ per year
Nanny: $650-$700/month
Rent (paid annually): $1,500–$2,000+ per month
Scooter rental: $80/month
Visas/Immigration $200/month
Groceries: $110–$120+ per week
Dining out: $60-$120 per week
Kids activities & weekends: $150 per week
All in, we spend around $7,000 per month to live the life we currently have here.
In this video, I answer three questions honestly:
*Where does money stretch in Bali — and where doesn’t it?
*What actually feels worth paying for here?
*What did we gain that money can’t buy?
This isn’t a highlight reel. It’s a grounded look at cost, trade-offs, and what this life really gives back.
