The pardoning of 1530 by President Hakainde Hichilema as part of the African Freedom Day commemorations has elated Prisons Care & Counselling Association (PRISCCA).
In an interview on the Diamond Breakfast on Friday, PRISCCA Executive Director Godfrey Malembeka says he is grateful to the President for exercising his powers in granting a prerogative of mercy to the inmates as it shows that he believes they have reformed and are ready to be reintegrated into society.
