Описание: This video explains how to find an object's principal axes of rotation, which are special axes where the mass distribution is symmetric and the moments of inertia are either maximum or minimum (18:14-19:13). The key idea is to represent the moment of inertia as a matrix and then use matrix diagonalization to find these axes (25:50-26:27). The eigenvalues of this matrix give the moments of inertia about these principal axes, and the eigenvectors indicate their directions (29:19-30:11). This method is applicable to any dimension (30:20-30:40).
