1961 Gillette FatBoy Razor Refurbished Replated Bright Nickel G1, All mechanics work precisely as they should, the TTO knob opens and closes as it is meant to and the adjustments turn and click perfectly! This razor is in Fantastic Condition. The blade gap is even across both sides of the entire razor head. There Is Absolutely No Scratching, Brassing or Rust. The numbers on the adjusting wheel aren't missing any of the black paint, also the black ring under the adjuster is as black as if it was new.

The razor has been disassembled, cleaned and/or repaired inside and out, re-plated, reassembled and polished to the beautiful luster you can see in the pictures. Also included is a Six Month Warranty Card from BackroadsGold, as you can notice that date has not been filled in, that will be done when you purchase this item.

Refurbishing Process
Inspection, Repairs are made, guards are straightened, doors are straightened, mechanics are checked, endcaps soldered, razor is then disassembled.
Extensive Deep Cleaning and Disinfection.
Outer Head Surface and Endcaps are resurfaced to remove ALL scratches and pitting then mirror polished smooth. The rest of the razor will have a polished factory finish. Heavy pitting under doors, cap and baseplate, if present, will be lessened but still be visible.
Hand Polish with special jewelers cloths.
ALL razors receive Ultrasonic Deep Clean / Disinfecting at 160 degrees then 160 degree Electroclean, then Acid Surface Activation, then Bright Nickel Plating.
Followed by plating with 24K Hard Gold or Palladium Plate if chosen.
I paint the numbers and selector spring with Testors enamel paint. The black ring below the selector dial on Fatboys and Executives is now USA made automotive pinstriping, which in our experience lasts longer than painting with enamel. Red Tips and Blue Tips use Humbrol Enamel paints then are baked on.
Reassembly, blade gap is checked and set, mechanics are checked.
Final Hand Polish. All work done by Backroadsgold!
