Church Defenders slam CRL Commission over ad hoc committee

The South African Church Defenders has once again criticised the
Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Rights Commission over the
establishment of its Section 22 ad hoc committee. The group says the
committee is an attempt to control churches and has taken legal
action, arguing that its establishment is unlawful. Last week, the
Section 22 ad hoc committee tabled a draft framework aimed at
governing conduct within the Christian community. SACD chairperson
Mpfariseni Mukhuba says this amounts to control in disguise and
they’re firmly against it.
