But if you look at a map today, it’s Kaliningrad, a Russian territory completely cut off from the rest of Russia. 🇷🇺🏝️
How did a 700-year-old German city become a high-security Russian fortress? 🏰 In this investigation, we travel through time using Google Maps. We find the ruins of the Königsberg Castle—once a home for kings, now just a pit in the ground—and look at the "House of Soviets," a brutalist concrete giant built right on top of it. 🧱🏗️
