If you want to make sure you only access secure websites that use the HTTPS protocol to encrypt your data, then you can configure Chrome and Edge to try and use secure HTTPS connections for websites that use HTTP to see if it can make a secure connection. HTTPS websites will have a security certificate proving they are who they say they are. If you enable this switch to HTTPS feature and the website you are trying to connect to doesn't support it, you will be given a warning and then have a choice to continue to the unsecure site or go back to the previous page.
