Camino del Ebro (Camino Jacobeo del Ebro) is a Camino de Santiago that runs from the mouth of the river Ebro via a number of large and small towns to Logroño. (Camí de Sant Jaume de l'Ebre in Catalan.) Roughly speaking, the Camino follows the river Ebro. We followed this route in April / May. After Zaragoza, in Gallur, we left this route and continued on the Camino Castellano-Aragonés to Tarazona.
Camino del Ebro connects with The Catalan Way (Camino Catalán) coming from Girona / Barcelona / Montserrat 25 km before Zaragoza. 47 km after Zaragoza one can leave Camino del Ebro on Camino Castellano-Aragonés (Camino Soriano), which goes to Burgos. We did that.
We are 70 years old and do not walk that long stages. Here is a list of the cities we stayed in: Deltebre, Amposta, Tortosa, Xerta, Gandesa, Batea, Fabara, Caspe, Chiprana, Escatrón, Alborge, Quinto, Fuentes de Ebro, Zaragoza, Alagón, Gallur, Borja, Tarazona.
It's nice to walk this route in spring. The nature was very green. It was very nice flowering and we were lucky with both weather and temperature.
