Thriving Mall: Oakland Mall - Troy, Michigan

Описание: Welcome to the Oakland Mall located in Troy, MI. Opened in 1968. Sears opened before the mall did in 1965. When the mall opened, it featured 2 anchor stores Sears and Hudson's. In 1979 A wing was added to the mall with JCPenney. The movie theater closed in 2000 and was converted into Steve & Barry's which ended up closing in 2009. Hudson's converted into Marshal Fields which ended up becoming Macy's in 2006. In 2004 Lord & Taylor was proposed but the project was canceled. Borders closed in 2011 and Forever 21 moved in 2013. In 2010 a furniture store moved in the former Steve and Barry's but closed in 2014. In 2015 Dick's Sporting Goods moved into the former Steve & Barry's space. In 2015 H&M opened at the mall, Field & Stream also opened at the mall in the same year. In 2017 the Sears downgraded and half of it became a At Home. Sears would close in 2018. In 2019 the Field & Stream became a Sportsman warehouse. As of 2021 the mall is at 90% occupied
