Inspired by the joyful energy and lively cheering of Japanese festivals, “Hanabi,” which means “firework” in Japanese, aims to embody the famous firework shows that radiate throughout summer night skies. Ally, Skyler, and Caitlyn have drawn upon their own unique musical and cultural experiences, such as percussion study, music composition, and study abroad to contribute to the creation of “Hanabi”, evident in the structure, themes, and spirit of the piece.
