Описание: ধীরে ধীরে সবজি চাষের দিকে ঝুঁকছেন পাবনার কৃষকরা। সবজি চাষ তুলনামূলক বেশি লাভজনক হওয়ায় বাণিজ্যিকভাবে এই কাজ শুরু করছেন তারা। এরকম একজন চাষী ঈশ্বরদী উপজেলার চরগরগরি গ্রামের কৃষক মো. নাসির উদ্দিন। কয়েক বছর আগে সখের বশে বাড়ির আঙ্গিনায় সবজি চাষ শুরু করেছিলেন তিনি। সেই শুরু। এখন তিনি তার জমির পাশাপাশি আরও তিন বিঘা জমি লিজ নিয়ে বাণিজ্যিকভাবে সবজির আবাদ করছেন। জানালেন, এ বছর ঐ তিন বিঘা জমিতে বেগুন, কপি ও পেঁয়াজ চাষ করেছেন। প্রতি বিঘা জমি থেকে তার ৫০ থেকে ৮০ হাজার টাকা লাভ হয়েছে।

Farmers in Pabna are becoming interested in vegetable farming, mainly because of its relatively good profit margin.
Md Nasir Uddin, a farmer from Gorgori village of Ishwardi upazila, started cultivating vegetables in his yard a few years ago as a hobby. Now he is farming vegetables commercially on three bighas of land. By selling eggplants, cauliflowers and other winter crops, he earned Tk 50,000 to Tk 80,000 this year.
