Описание: Footage of the May 1, 1976 Military Parade held on Marx-Engels-Platz in East Berlin to commemorate International Workers Day.

The parade was held in front of the newly constructed "Palast der Republik", however the vibrations caused by the military hardware caused some of the glass windows to shatter. As a result, the parade ground was move to Karl Marx Allee until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
