Having trouble with your old Craftsman radial arm saw? Blade won't spin and the saw makes a humming noise? Or maybe your pulling too much power and tripping your breaker when you try to cut? It's probably the capacitor on the saw motor and in this video I'll show you how to replace it.
It's a pretty easy repair, the thing that takes the longest is finding a capacitor that will fit and having it sent to you! I was able to find a comparable capacitor at sears parts direct. To help you out, here are the numbers on the box. It's been a little while since I bought it and actually had to talk with a rep to hunt one down, so I'm not sure exactly which of these is the actual item number!
