Описание: This is the nightmare of the deep—the Finger of Death. It kills everything in its path. As it descends to the ocean floor, it spreads death, freezing every creature it touches along the way. Also known as the brinicle, or the ice stalactite of death, this rare phenomenon starts when the surface of the sea begins to freeze. As the ice forms, it pushes out salt, creating a stream of super-salty, super-cold brine. It's so salty it doesn’t freeze—instead, it absorbs heat from the surrounding water, forming ice around itself. A frozen finger of death slowly grows downward. Even fish can’t escape its silent, creeping reach.
