One Fabric Two Dresses, a review of the Rosery Apparel Willow Dress and New Look N6651 Shirt Dress

Описание: I managed to get two dresses out of the fabric I picked up in remnant pieces during a visit to Brighton recently so thought I would share what I made!

Firstly I am sharing my review of the ‪@RoseryApparel‬ Willow Dress, mistakes were made during the making of this dress for sure however even with my mismatching darts and potentially mismatched front skirt pieces I really like this dress and will be making another but in a more drapey fabric I think as this cotton(?) is quite structured and perhaps not the best for this. I am on the maximum end of the size range for this dress (I made a straight 24) and so may add a little more room for myself in the next version I make.

Next I made the New Look N6651 shirt dress for a bit of a change as I have made the Tilly and the Buttons Lyra so many times! Also I wanted less gathering with this fabric as its quite noisy 😂 I love this dress too, I wish past me hadn't cut a size 14 though! Luckily this pattern does have a fair bit of ease built in which meant I could still fit into the 14 despite my actual measurements putting me into a 22. I will make this again although will probably not put the pockets in as there is definitely some gaping at my hip.
