South Carolina couple admits to killing sex offender, wife

Описание: GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- A South Carolina white supremacist couple was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday for killing a man and his wife because he was a registered sex offender.

In court, Jeremy and Christine Moody said they felt remorse for the killing, but changed their story once they were outside.

"Child molesters do not deserve to live, they got what they deserve. If I had to do it over, I would kill more," Jeremy Moody, the husband, said.

When the husband was asked if the remorse he expressed in court was sincere, he replied, "No, that's not true. My lawyer made me say it."

The suspect went on to say he had one thing to tell the victim's family: "May they die also."

The statements came moments after a judge handed down a sentence of life without parole for killing the Parkers. The couple's attorneys had hoped for the minimum of 30 years.

During the hearing, this is what the Moody's sounded like: "Not a day goes by the incident and I know what I have done is a sin. I truly believed God has forgiven Jeremy and I and I hope you will, too," Christine Moody said in court.

Prosecutors described the Moody's as neo-nazis who harbored hate for various ethnic groups and sex offenders and that's why they randomly chose Charles Parker off the sex offender registry list for the state.

Deputies say these home surveillance images show the Moody's leading the Parkers into their Union County home where they were stabbed and shot repeatedly.

Deputies say Jeremy Moody's unique tattoos helped identify him.

16th Circuit Solicitor Kevin Brackett says the Moody's had planned to kill more sex offenders.

"All of their claims of remorse and repentance were false," Brackett said.

The Parkers' family agreed with the sentence and say they were not surprised by this outburst in court.

"See you perverts later, that's what child molesters get," Moody said.

"It made me mad, they were laughing about what they did, taking someone's life the way they did. No one should die like that. Nobody," Brenda Franklin, Parker's sister, said.
