Our mission journey moves into the Arusha region to witness the transformative work of Empowered Girls. In a culture where Maasai women have often been marginalized, this organization is helping girls reclaim their value through education and advocacy. We were honored to see the physical fruits of our church’s partnership—new school facilities and teacher housing—but the true "sanctuary" was the shift in identity we saw in the students. With the addition of the "Enlightened Boys" program, we saw a community learning to lead with love rather than fear. They aren't just surviving the landscape anymore; they are changing it.
