দুই বছর পর দেশের বৈদেশিক মুদ্রার রিজার্ভ ২৪ বিলিয়ন ডলার ছাড়িয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার বিপিএম ৬ অনুযায়ী রিজার্ভ দাঁড়িয়েছে ২৪ দশমিক ১৪ বিলিয়ন ডলারে। ২০২৩ সালের জুনের পর যা সর্বোচ্চ। বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক সূত্র বলছে, রেমিট্যান্সের পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন আন্তর্জাতিক সংস্থা থেকে বড় অঙ্কের ঋণের কারণে রিজার্ভ বেড়েছে। আইএমএফ ঋণের চতুর্থ ও পঞ্চম কিস্তির ১৩৪ কোটি ডলার রিজার্ভে যোগ হয়েছে। আবার বিশ্বব্যাংকের বাজেট সহায়তার ৫০ কোটি ডলারের মধ্যে বাকি ১৫ কোটি ডলার পেয়েছে বাংলাদেশ। এর আগে আরও ৩৫ কোটি ডলার জমা হয়। এদিকে, বাংলাদেশের মোট হিসাবে রিজার্ভ ছাড়িয়ে গেছে ২৯ বিলিয়ন ডলার। আগামী সপ্তাহে জাইকার ৪২ কোটি ও এআইআইবির ঋণের ৪৪ কোটি ডলার যোগ হওয়ার কথা রয়েছে।
