Solo Backpacking the Coosa Backcountry Trail on St. Patricks Day

Описание: My very first trail report :-)

Using only my cell phone, I set out on a 2 day solo backpacking trip on the Coosa Backcountry Trail. I made the typical noob mistake of looking at the screen instead of the lens.

My son and I worked really hard on the video editing. He had fun coming up with funny things to say about me ;-). I introduced a couple of trail mapping overlays, I've never seen in other trail reports. One overlay shows the trail system and topology map with my route on it. I show it throughout the hike and indicate my location with a hiking book. Another overlay shows the elevation profile for the trail and I use a moving red crosshair to show my current location as well, so you always know what elevation I'm at and the distance traveled.

Be easy on me, I will get better, as I get more comfy doing the whole "recording of yourself". I am working hard on the formats I will use for my video types and I will hold true to the formats, as long as you guys like it.
