University of Sydney Political Scientist Professor Simon Jackman says it is “hard to see this getting any better” for Joe Biden.
Democratic US President Joe Biden struggled with a shaky performance during the first presidential debate while his Republican rival Donald Trump unleashed a barrage of attacks.
“What is it that he can do between now and the next debate?” Mr Jackman told Sky News Australia.
“Right now, I’d say ... mild panic in Democratic circles that Biden, he couldn’t close on key issues – on reproductive rights, on January 6 – his age was simply getting in the way.”
