In a major escalation, Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels have reportedly targeted Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport for the third time within 24 hours, triggering missile sirens across Jerusalem and nearby West Bank settlements. The latest attack involved a Zulfiqar ballistic missile, which Israeli sources claim was intercepted mid-air, likely by the THAAD air defense system. Following the strike, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a stern evacuation warning for Yemen’s Hodeidah, Ras Isa, and Al-Salif ports, indicating possible Israeli retaliation. IDF spokesperson Col. Avichay Adraee advised civilians to immediately vacate the ports and surrounding areas.
