On April 4, 2025, Dak Dillon Photography and I hosted a photographers' day (photo charter) event at the Pacific Coast Railroad in Santa Margarita, California.
For our special photo event, both operational steam locomotives were hot and running (Vulcan 2-4-0 No. 2 and Porter 2-6-2 No. 3).
We ran two consists with the No. 3 pulling two Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad Retlaw I passenger coaches, and No. 2 had a freight consist of two former Durango & Silverton boxcars and a caboose from the International Railways of Central America in Guatemala.
