A chain sinnet is a way to shorten a rope while in use or for storage. It is formed by making a series of simple loops/bights in the line. I have used it to shorten the length of a horses lunge line and lead, shorten the tail end of the rope after hanging my food bag, and for shortening the tail end of my rope after tying my canoe to shore. It is a great, and easy way to keep your rope tidy.

The Chain Sinnet is also known as: Daisy Chain, Monkey Chain, Monkey Braid, Single Trumpet Braid, Single Bugle Braid, Chain Stitch, Crochet Stitch, and Chain Braid. It is a knot that can be used with rope, electrical cords and a paracord knot.
