The boom of modern jazz surged over Japanese younger generation through late '60s and early '70s.
Especially Japanese young vibrant jazz musicians who admired Miles' electric music became very popular among younger generation of twenties and thirties at the time in Japan.
And now let me show you one of the exciting live sessions performed by such young Japanese poll winners who got the awards of each instrument section in 1971 organized by Japanese monthly jazz magazine "Swing Journal" regrettably which is no longer being published.
Recorded "Jazz Festival with '71Poll Winners" Live at Shinjuku Welfare and Pension Hall, Tokyo on May 29, 1971.
