If you are using a turbo trainer, you will probably be aware that the major risk of death is drowning in your own sweat.
So, what can we do about it? In this video, I'll give you five suggestions.
1. Open a door. Let some fresh air in.
2. Get a good fan. It's worth spending the money on a good one so that it provides enough power to keep you cool when you are putting the through the pedals.
3. Cycle topless or with a sports bra only. No jersey required. That is just going to trap heat in and it's your house, so who cares what you look like.
4. Use a headband. A headband makes everything better. Mostly it prevents sweat from constantly running into your eyes, which is useful if you want to monitor your power output on TrainerRoad, or just generally see things.
5. Put a sweat catcher on your bike. This helps protect your bike from the corrosive effects of sweat. They are less useful on a time trial setup, but still catch some of the sweat.
