The journey around the pearl covering 1980 k.m. of coastline around Sri Lanka commenced from the Kelaniya Bridge in Mattakkuliya. The journey took 7 days and took place during April 2022.
The journey captures scenes from around Sri Lanka, its diverse landscapes, cultures and people.
The journey commenced from near Crow Island, Mattakkuliya where the Kelaniya River flows to the Indian Ocean on the Western Coast of Sri Lanka.
The video captures a gloomy day filled with drizzle, where fishing boats are seen crossing the river by the bridge that connects the Colombo and Gampaha districts, i.e. Mattakkuliya and Hendala Wattala.
