A Paris court on Monday found 10 people guilty of the cyber-harassment of France's first lady, Brigitte Macron, for spreading false claims that she is a transgender woman who was born male.
"Needless to say that no one can touch my genealogy, that’s something impossible... don’t play with that," said Brigitte on Sunday in an interview and added, “Right now, I’m fighting all the time, and I want to help teens fight against bullying, but if I don’t set the example, that will be hard.”
Brigitte and her husband, French President Emmanuel Macron, have long faced such conspiracy theories, including allegations that she was born under the name Jean-Michel Trogneux - the actual name of her older brother.
