Watching domino tiles fall one by one, creating a long, continuous "snake," can feel somewhat magical, don't you think?
Are you drawn to dominoes?
However, the same cannot be said for a domino effect captured by a camera at Wesfarmers Curragh coal mine in Central Queensland, Australia, in 2008.
During routine maintenance of a dragline, an inexperienced operator operating the crane's "Lampson 4600 Transi-Lift" accidentally pulled the wrong lever.
And so, the dragline's boom became the first domino tile.
When that boom toppled onto the boom of the same crane, everything nearby began to fall.
Two truck cranes were also caught in the domino effect.
Surprisingly, no one was seriously injured in this crane accident.
