Canadian Olympic athletes returned home after the Paris Olympic Summer Games on Monday, receiving a warm welcome at Toronto Pearson International Airport and Montréal–Trudeau International Airport.
The 2024 Olympic Games ended Sunday, with Canada winning 27 medals, a national record for a non-boycotted Summer Games. In another record, nine of the medals were gold.
Athletes from sports including rowing, swimming, sailing and track and field were greeted by flag-waving fans at the airports in Toronto and Montreal.
Canada ranked 11th among the 84 countries that won medals in Paris.
