Aegis Sight: Smart Tactical Helmet with IoT-Based Hazard Detection

These issues emphasize the urgent need for an intelligent solution that combines protection, detection, and communication in a single platform. To address these challenges, this study proposes the development of a Smart Tactical Helmet with IoT-based detection technology. The helmet is equipped with integrated gas sensors capable of detecting hazardous substances, and a real-time warning system that alerts the wearer through a display interface and audio signals. Additionally, the IoT connectivity enables the helmet to transmit critical data to command centers, allowing supervisors to monitor environmental conditions and soldier status remotely. The design incorporates advanced sensor integration, microcontroller-based processing, wireless communication modules, and ergonomic features to maintain comfort and usability. Early prototype testing demonstrated reliable detection of hazardous gases within seconds, effective alert notifications, and stable data transmission over IoT networks. These results validate the feasibility of integrating protection and intelligence into a single wearable system..
