FULL INTERVIEW: Multnomah County Senior Deputy DA Glen Ujufusa on nuisance property proposal

Описание: Portland's Community and Public Safety Committee on Tuesday afternoon discussed a proposed ordinance that would amend the Chronic Nuisance Property Code to address human trafficking and gun violence.

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office is pushing for this legislation to add another tool in its toolbox to help combat human trafficking along Southeast 82nd Avenue.

"So being able to either reduce the locations where this can happen or being able to enforce individuals who are making money or profiting from this is one way to go after trying to reduce the amount of victims that are trafficked," said Glen Ujufusa, a senior deputy district attorney who runs the human-trafficking team with the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office.
