Drama unfolded at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, as a team of CBI officials arrived at the residence of former BRS MLC K. Kavitha on Thursday afternoon. The officials served a fresh notice issued by the Delhi High Court in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case. Since Kavitha was reportedly not present, her husband, D. Anil Kumar, received the summons. This move comes after the CBI challenged the trial court's discharge order that had previously given a clean chit to Kavitha and others. The High Court has set the next hearing for March 16, 2026.
