Due to an utterly ill planned move by NHAI/Gurgaon Traffic Police, commuters were left stranded for hours on the NH8, near erstwhile Gurgaon Toll Plaza. To better manage the traffic flowing towards cybercity and on to main NH8, authorities put up road blocks right where the main carriageway and service lanes merge before the toll - leaving everyone wondering which direction to take! There were no signages that could help people take up correct lanes for a smoother switch.
At 9:00 AM situation wasn't all that bad but it started building up as the number of vehicles started increasing. As per news reports, at one point the bottleneck had stretched to as far as Dhaula Kuan! (Good 10+ kms away from this point)
