Oak Street Bootmakers - Longshore Jump Boot in Badalassi w/ Dr. Sole and Cat's Paw Outsole. USA Made

Описание: Hand lasted in the USA in Chicago. This 6 inch Service Boot features a 360 degree Goodyear welt, all eyelets, a brogue cap toe, and upper leather from Badalassi Carlo from Italy. It is a full grain, pebbled, veg tanned form of their Minerva line. Vachatta i believe its called. This is a size 9D. The fit is true to size, regarding your usual Brannock sizing.
One of the most interesting features about this Limited Edition release, is the half sole they decided on. They are using a 'NOS' heel lift from the 'old school' brand, Cat's Paw. Cat's Paw was a huge company at one time for making rubber souls for boots. They are known for their artistic design work and unique formula for the time. They were bought out by Biltrite, who was then bought by Vibram. (from which most of our outsoles today are from).
The main portion of the rubber outsole however, is the Dr. Soles Supergrip. They are a more contemporary brand from Indonesia I believe, who make premium outsoles that many people today seek out. The design work itself pays homage to the companies that came before it, namely Cat's Paw... and Biltrite.. Griprite.., etc..
I found these boots very comfortable. They fit great. The lining leather smells a little cheap, but I do really like the shape.. The relatively flat cap toe is sleek, and it's a fairy dressy looking boot overall with just a hint of casual.
