මිනිසුන් විසින් මරා දමන අහිංසක සර්පයන් බේරා ගැනීමේ වගකීම මම භාරගෙන සිටිමි. උපාධිධාරියෙකු වන මම, මෙම කාර්යයේ නියැලෙන්නේ රැකියාවක් ලෙස නොවන අතර කිසිඳු ලාභ ප්‍රතිලාභයක් අපේක්ෂා නොකරන සමාජ සත්කාරයක් ලෙසයි. පරිසරයේ සමතුලිතතාවය පවත්වා ගැනීම සඳහා සර්පයන් විසින් සිදු කරනු ලබන මෙහෙය අතිමහත්ය. එබැවින් ඔවුන්ට හානි කිරීම කිසිසේත්ම සාධාරණීකරණය කළ නොහැක.
සර්පයන්ගේ ජීවිත පැවැත්ම ආරක්ෂා කිරීමට මම කැපවී සිටිමි. ඔවුන්ගේ පැවැත්ම සුරක්ෂිත කිරීමට මිනිසුන් වශයෙන් අපි එකමුතු විය යුතු වන්නෙමු. මතක තබා ගන්න, සර්පයන් යනු පුරාණ මානව ඉතිහාසයට ද සම්බන්ධ සත්ත්ව කොටසක් වන අතර ඔවුන් ආරක්ෂා කිරීම අපගේ යුතුකමක් වේ.
අපගේ ආදරය අපගේ සුන්දර මිහිතලයේ සිටින සියලුම සතුන්ට හිමි විය යුතුය. ස්වභාවධර්මයට සැබෑ ආදරයක් ඇති ඔබටත් මේ මෙහෙයුමට මා හා එක්වන මෙන් ආරාධනා කරමි.
