A pair of activations for a pair of freight trains at this rare un-gated level crossing on the single-track token-worked branch line along the Hoo Peninsula to Grain, located at the edge of the village of High Halstow. Both trains were running cautiously until they reached the crossing as the drivers need to approach it cautiously for obvious reasons. It's solely up to them to use the red/white LED drivers' crossing indicators to monitor the operation of the crossing and decide how to proceed. Once they can establish the crossing is clear and it's safe to proceed, they can power up as soon as they reach it as they need to get going. St. Andrews Crosses are provided above each Road Traffic Light as there are no barriers here, and there is still no sign of any intention to add any even in 2024!

This is the first time I have managed to catch two trains in a single visit to this crossing, and it was a stroke of luck I caught the first. A DC Rail Class 60 can be seen hauling a loaded train back to the DC Rail sidings at Willesden after loading at Grain, running as much as 20 minutes late and passing within a few minutes of my arrival! The second train took its time to arrive, and it was an empty train back from the HS2 site at West Ruislip, one of many trains between this location and Grain for the HS2 project, having taken building materials there the night prior.
