This week on the island, we roll up our sleeves and get to work turning a pile of recycled materials into what I like to call a hillbilly hoop house — a little storage shed to help keep our feed and farm tools dry and close by.
With that job checked off, Kelly shifts gears and gets busy planting seeds for the season ahead. It’s always a good feeling to look forward to something growing.
A few days later, Kelly brings you along on her morning chores — letting the animals out, feeding the crew, and giving the chickens a chance to stretch their legs. After that, it’s back inside where she tackles the usual challenges of keeping things sorted in an old crooked house and still manages to cook up a solid breakfast.
We wrap up the week with a kitchen table Q&A and a cup of tea — our favourite way to settle down and check in with all of you.
