The Paneer Dum Biryani is a great dish with shallow fried panner pieces, fried onions and all those biryani goodies. A wonderful rich and fragrant dish, non-vegetarians will love it too as much as vegetarians.
Ingredients:
Paneer - 500 gm
Basmati Rice - 1 kg
2 no. - white onion for fried onion
Rice preparation:
2 Tablespoons - Oil (fried onion oil)
2 Tablespoons - Ghee
8 glasses - Water
Spices for rice:
3 no. - cardamom
1 small piece of cinnamon stick
1 no. - star anise
4 no. - cloves
3 no. - bay leaves
1 Tablespoon - salt
Masala preparation:
3 no. - Red onion sliced
1 no. - Green capsicum sliced
2 Tablespoons - Oil (fried onion oil)
1/2 Tablespoon - ghee
1 Teaspoon - cumin
Spices for masala:
3 no. - Bay leaves
1 small piece - cinnamon stick
3 no. - cardamom
1 - star anise
4 no. - cloves
1 Tablespoon - chopped ginger
1 Tablespoon - chopped garlic
2 no. - green chilli
1/2 Tablespoon - Salt
1 no. - Tomato sliced
1/4 Teaspoon - Turmeric powder
1 Tablespoon - Kashmiri chilli powder
1 Tablespoon - coriander powder
1/2 Tablespoon - garam masala
1 Teaspoon - cumin powder
1 pinch - kasoori methi
1 Handful - fried onion
1/2 - Lime juice
1/2 cup - Water
1 cup - Yogurt
1 Handful - Mint leaves
1 Handful - Coriander leaves
Fried onion
Chopped coriander leaves
Chopped mint leaves
1 Pinch saffron mixed with warm milk
