My granddaughter Eleanor Jane was born on 5/20/17 which is the anniversary of the start of the Nicaean Council--May 20, 325 AD--and not May 19th as I incorrectly stated a few times on my video.
The First Council of Nicaea was the first ecumenical council of the Church called by Emperor Constantine I, starting on May 20, 325 AD in the Bithynia city of Nicaea. Most significantly, it resulted in the first uniform Christian doctrine, called the Nicene Creed. With the creation of the creed, a precedent was established for subsequent local and regional councils of Bishops (Synods) to create statements of belief and canons of doctrinal orthodoxy—the intent being to define unity of beliefs for the whole of Christendom.
The Edict of Milan was a letter signed by the Roman emperors Constantine and Licinius, that proclaimed religious toleration in the Roman Empire. The letter was issued in February, 313 AD, shortly after the emperor Diocletian had stopped the unfair treatment of Christians. The Edict was promulgated at Nicomedia on June 13, 1313 AD.
The Great Diocletian Persecution started on February 24, 303 Ad [1715y ago] & ended with the signing of the Edict of Milan by Emperors Constantine & Licinius--both of whom are on my family tree.
According to Lactantius, a Latin historian of North African origins saved from poverty by the Emperor Constantine I (r. 306–337), who made him tutor to his son Crispus, Constantine had dreamt of being ordered to put a "heavenly divine symbol" (Latin: coeleste signum dei) on the shields of his soldiers. The description of the actual symbol chosen by Emperor Constantine the next morning, as reported by Lactantius, is not very clear: it closely resembles a Chi-Rho or a staurogram, a similar Christian symbol. That very day Constantine's army fought the forces of Maxentius and won the Battle of the Milvian Bridge (312), outside Rome.
St. Helena ranks as an important figure in the history of Christianity and of the world due to her influence on her son, Constantine I. In her final years, she made a religious tour of Syria Palaestina and Jerusalem, during which she allegedly discovered the True Cross. The Eastern Orthodox Church, Oriental Orthodox Church, Roman Catholic Church, and the Anglican Communion revere her as a saint; the Lutheran Church commemorates her. What's remarkable is that the Feasts of St. Helena & St. Constantine are celebrated in the Eastern Orthodox Church on May 21st - my wedding anniversary when Steve & I were married on May 21, 1983 at Immaculate Conception Church in Formosa, Ontario, Canada. In the RC Church, the Feast of St. Helena is August 18th which was a significant day in 2018 if you study my tweets @1antipas, @annehendry5, @annehendry3, and @raphael_414. August 18, 2018 just happened to be the day that Pope Francis had been in office 5 years, 5 months & 5 days pointing to the 5th angel with the 5th trumpet in Revelation 9 that starts the Time of Sorrows with the First Woe which lasts 5 months - hence 5 - 5 - 5.
Please note that I also incorrectly identified the bible verse as Luke 46:23 & it is the reverse.
Luke 23:46 (NIV)
46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”[a] When he had said this, he breathed his last.
