On your iPhone, go to Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri and follow the prompts to turn on Apple Intelligence (feature and language availability varies by model/region).

1) Live Translation in FaceTime/Phone calls

FaceTime: Start a one-to-one call → tap the screen → ⓘ (Info) → turn on Live Captions (for real-time text) → if Translate is available on your device, choose the two languages to see translated captions and optionally spoken translations.

Phone calls: Start a one-to-one call → enable Live Translation (where available) → pick languages; translations appear and can be spoken aloud. Availability and languages depend on device/region.

2) Visual Intelligence (on-screen/camera actions)

Press and hold the Camera Control (supported models) → point at text or an object → tap the Ask or analyze button → choose an action like Summarize, Translate, Read Aloud, or tap detected items (dates/URLs/phones) to add to Calendar, start an email, call, or open a site.

3) Faster “AI Shortcuts” style workflow (Summarize delivery email → add ETA to Calendar)

In Mail, summaries appear under long messages; open the message and tap Summarize to view key details (like delivery dates).

If a date/time is detected in the text, tap it to Add to Calendar (or use Visual Intelligence on the email to Summarize and then tap the detected date to create an event).

4) Image Playground & Genmoji (quick graphics)

Genmoji: In any text field (e.g., Messages), tap the Emoji key → Genmoji → describe what you want (e.g., “hand-drawn shopping cart”) → create and insert/save.

Image Playground: In Messages, tap the Apps button → Image Playground → describe your image and generate; or open Freeform → Media → Image Playground to create and place images on a board.

5) Inbox & Order Summaries in Mail

Open Mail to see short summaries under messages in your inbox; open any long email and tap Summarize at the top for a quick digest. Use detected dates/links to add events or track items faster.

To translate selected text in apps (Safari, Messages, Mail), select text → Translate; tap Play to hear it.
