I woke up angry on Valentine’s Day.
Not because I’m single — but because my neighbors decided 9AM was the perfect time for loud music.
Grey sky. Melting snow. Dirty slush everywhere.
Not exactly romantic.
So instead of complaining all day, I decided to turn it around.
I washed my ridiculously dirty car, drove to the mall, bought cake, whipped cream and champagne — and took myself on a solo Valentine’s date.
No fake “I don’t need anyone” energy.
No dramatic sadness either.
Just a real Valentine’s Day in Moscow when you’re 40, single, slightly annoyed… and perfectly capable of making your own day better.
