Got a prescription for pain meds? If you’re a CDL driver, here’s how DOT handles it.
The Medical Review Officer (MRO) will review your prescription, and as long as it’s valid and doesn’t impair safety, it’s usually not a major issue. But it can become a problem if you’re using meds that aren’t prescribed to you — or if you’re impaired behind the wheel.
Always double-check before you drive.
