Just follow these steps and you will learn how:

1. Open up Instagram app and login to your profile if you haven’t already.
2. Tap on the menu icon at the top right corner of your screen.
3. Click on “Settings”.
4. Now scroll down till you see the Facebook section and click on “Accounts Center” underneath.
5. Here you will see your Facebook Messenger profile that is connected to Instagram. Just click on it.
6. Click on your Facebook Messenger profile.
7. Select “Remove from accounts center” and click on “Continue”.
8. Click on “Remove” one more time and your Messenger profile will be removed from Instagram App.
