How to restore corroded BMW Wing mirror arms BMW 5 series e60

Hi everyone and welcome to another Bimmer Fixer video.

In this video I will show you how to restore the wing mirror arm on your BMW. It is common that they corrode after being hit by stones then water can get to the metal underneath the paint and cause it to corrode. This then forces that paint to flake off making it look awful! Thank goodness they upgraded the mirror arms on the LCI models but if like me you have a pre face lift then don’t worry I will talk you through the whole process.

Please don’t feel you have to use the brands I did, as long as the paint you use is suitable for metal and it has the require finish you desire then go for it. Just remember to follow the direction on the paint you are using as it may be different to the one I used.
