Make yourself comfortable and immerse yourself in the peace and tranquility of Melbourne Zoo's Butterfly House. Home to more than 600 butterflies from about 13 different tropical species, the Butterfly House is kept at a steady temperature of around 27°C degrees year-round, providing tropical butterflies with the humidity they need to be able to flourish. Different coloured nectar feeders attract different species and the house is dotted with specific host plants that the females will lay their eggs on.
