infraWizard Tutorial - Part 20: Creating Profiles

Drawing profiles is one of the main and important tasks in a high quality design of pipe networks and transmission lines. Either your preparing design for a water, sewage, or a storm network, infaWizard provides very efficient tools for production of longitudinal profiles.
You can create a single profile by manual selection of pipes on screen and a assign the suitable profile style to control the format and data bands that appear in it.
The feature of automatic route selection will help you creating hundreds of profiles in one go. With this feature infraWizard can suggest line routes based on network hierarchy in both pressure pipe networks and gravity pipe networks. You can then select profiles to be drawn and get them done with one click.
The automatic route selection has a more advanced option of selecting routes based on manhole names in gravity networks and based on pipe names in pressure pipe networks. This tutorial explains the naming convention you should use while labeling manholes in gravity networks and pipes in pressure networks to let infraWizard recognize the profile routes
