The first maize production cycle under a Public Private Partnership model in the Galana Kulalu Food Security Project will be harvested next week. National Irrigation Authority Chief Executive Officer Eng. Charles Muasya who hosted National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi, Irrigation Principal Secretary Ephantus Kimotho and other senior government officials, on a tour of the Galana Kulalu Food Security Project, said the project has so far created over 5,000 jobs.
